Our Favorite Things to Do

A day at Anchor Court has its own rhythm. Here's how we love to spend it.

Coffee & Beach Walks

One of the best parts of staying at Anchor Court is how easy it is to start your day by the ocean. Pour a fresh cup from the Anchor Court coffee bar, step outside, and take a peaceful walk down to the sand while the morning light stretches across the Pacific.

Early mornings on the beach are calm and beautiful. Start your day with a treasure hunt with the kiddos — you never know what the tide has brought in overnight.

Insider Tip

These quiet morning moments — coffee in hand, ocean air, and the sound of waves — are often the ones guests remember most.

Tide Pools, Agates & Glass Floats

At low tide, explore the nearby tide pools where you may spot colorful sea stars, anemones, and tiny crabs tucked among the rocks. It's a wonderful time to search the shoreline for smooth agates and interesting shells washed in by the waves.

Keep your eyes peeled — you may even find a glass float! Lincoln City hides hand-blown glass globes on the beach year-round as part of the Finders Keepers program.

You'll often see early morning surfers catching the first waves of the day, and if you're lucky, you might even spot whales or seals passing along the coastline.

Fly a Kite on the Beach

Lincoln City is famous for its incredible kite flying conditions and colorful kite festivals. Wide open beaches and steady coastal breezes make it the perfect place for families to run, laugh, and watch kites dance in the sky.

The beach directly in front of the house is one of the best spots on the coast for flying. Kites are available at several local shops in town — no experience needed.

Seasonal Tip

If you visit in summer, the Lincoln City Summer Kite Festival (June 22–23) is a must-see. The Fall Kite Festival in September is equally spectacular with fewer crowds.

Sunset: The Best Show on the Coast

Evenings are magical here. Grab a blanket and your favorite beverage, settle onto the deck, and watch the sun melt into the Pacific. The colors that paint the sky in those final minutes are something you simply can't replicate anywhere else.

Many guests say this is their favorite moment of the entire trip — and we completely understand why.

Pro Move

Check the sunset time before dinner so you can plan to be back on the deck with a glass of wine in hand. The covered deck faces west — it's the perfect front-row seat.

Back at Anchor Court

After a full day at the beach, Anchor Court has everything you need to wind down in style:

  • Soak in the ocean-view hot tub as the stars come out
  • Roast s'mores at the fire pit with the sound of waves in the background
  • Relax on the covered deck listening to the waves roll in

This is what beach vacations are all about.
